Calapan City suspends classes for Dec. 2 to 3 as Tisoy nears
CITY OF CALAPAN, Philippines – The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) of Calapan in Oriental Mindoro, declared on Sunday a suspension of classes for all levels in private and public school on Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 2 and 3) in anticipation of Typhoon Tisoy.
Classes may resume Wednesday depending on the effects of the weather disturbance which is expected to affect Southern Luzon on Monday, according to the Calapan CDRRMC.
A similar suspension of classes was also declared in Puerto Galera on Monday.
As of 6 a.m. Sunday, trips have been suspended for fast crafts, Starlite Ferries, Inc., all vessels of 2GO bound to and from Caticlan, Romblon, and Odiongan from Sunday to Wednesday.
