MANILA, Philippines — Three people were injured as fire engulfed houses in Las Piñas City on Thursday afternoon.
A report from the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) Public Information Office showed that the blaze started 12:12 p.m. on Kamias Street, Golden Acres Talon 5.
BFP-NCR said the fire reached second alarm and they managed to control it 35 minutes later. Fire authorities declared a fire out 1:36 p.m.
Jenelyn Remegio, 29, sustained minor burns in her left arm; Jessie Colina, 63, suffered minor burns in his feet while Hyde Zerna, 50, sustained minor burns in her left arm, according to the BFP-NCR report.
Eight houses and 16 families were affected by the blaze, it added.
Fire probers were still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire as well as the cost of damage due to the fire.
