4 schools in Metro Manila to suspend classes for SEA Games

MANILA, Philippines — Four schools in Metro Manila will suspend classes during the conduct of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Tuesday.

In a Viber message to reporters, MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago said the following schools will suspend their classes on certain dates:

-Arellano Law School – Dec. 2 to Dec. 7

-St. Scholastica’s College – Dec. 2 to Dec. 7

-St. Paul College Pasig – Dec. 2 to Dec. 6

-St. Pedro Poveda College – Dec. 2 to Dec. 6

The De La Salle University-Manila earlier announced that it will suspend Dec. 2 to 7 to make way for the SEA Games.

The MMDA earlier recommended the suspension of classes in at least seven universities and colleges in Manila as part of its traffic management plans for the SEA Games next month.

The SEA Games will be held from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11.
