Spurned man kills ex, wounds her current boyfriend in Isabela

ROXAS, Isabela — A 37-year-old woman was shot and killed by her former boyfriend on Saturday night in Barangay (village) Marcos here, police said.

Amilyn Castaneda was killed by George Binuyat after a drunken spat over their previous relationship, according to police.

Binuyat, who was sharing drinks with the victim, suddenly pulled out a handgun and shot Castaneda before wounding her 43-year-old live-in partner, Armando Santos, said Col. Mariano Rodriguez, Isabela police director.

Binuyat fled in his motorcycle and now the subject of a manhunt, police said.

Santos was treated for a gunshot wound in his left arm, police added.
