Construction worker shot dead in Taguig City

MANILA, Philippines — A construction worker was shot dead by two unidentified men in his house in Barangay Bambang, Taguig City, police said Friday.

According to police, two armed men suddenly barged into the residence of the victim identified as Rogelio Esteban, 49, and shot him several times at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Esteban died on the spot.

The assailants fled on foot after committing the crime, police said.

Investigators have yet to disclose the motive behind the shooting.
