MANILA, Philippines – Both Vice President Leni Robredo and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Dir. Gen. Aaron Aquino lauded the efforts of a community-based rehabilitation center in Dinalupihan, Bataan, which celebrated its third anniversary on Thursday.

Robredo and Aquino, both co-chairpersons of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD), attended the program where more than 900 former drug users who underwent rehabilitation were presented.

The two then had a short meeting with Philippine National Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) Director Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, Bataan Police Provincial Office Director Col. Villamor Tulliao, PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio, and Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia.

Since Robredo was appointed as ICAD co-chair, she and Aquino held several meetings with the member-agencies and several clusters.

Questions over the straining working relationship of the two were floated after they contradicted each other in several issues, like Robredo’s proposal to replace Oplan Tokhang and her request for the data on high-value targets.
