Gasoline prices up, but diesel prices down

MANILA, Philippines — Price changes at the pump were again mixed this week with local oil firms raising the prices of gasoline by as much as 85 centavos per liter and reducing those of diesel by as much as 30 centavos per liter. This is the eighth week in a row of price cuts for diesel, which has decreased by a total of P2.60 per liter. Pilipinas Shell said it would cut diesel prices by 25 centavos while Petron, Seaoil, Total Philippines and Phoenix announced an 80-centavo price hike for gasoline. PTT Philippines raised gasoline prices by 85 centavos but cut diesel prices by 25 centavos. Petron and Seaoil reduced prices of kerosene by 20 centavos per liter. Last week, prices of the bellwether Dubai crude started at $59.83 per barrel, rising to $60.11 per barrel as of Nov. 14. —RONNEL W.DOMINGO
