3 arrested, P5.7 M shabu seized in Manila drug sting

MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated 850 grams or an estimated P5.7 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) and arrested a high-value target and his two cohorts in a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila Wednesday morning.

Manila Police District acting chief Brig. Gen. Bernabe Balba told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview that the three suspects are reportedly from Cotabato.

“Based sa interview, sabi nila galing Mindanao talaga sila from Cotabato [Based on the interview, the suspects said they are residents of Cotabato in Mindanao.],” Balba said.

The arrested suspects have yet to be named by authorities. /gsg
