Did You Know: Metro Manila has most cases of leptospirosis

According to the Department of Health, Metro Manila accounted for 34 percent or 307 of the 916 leptospirosis cases reported nationwide from January to July.

The figure was 63 percent lower compared to the 829 cases reported during the same period in 2018.

Metro Manila posted the highest number of cases in the first seven months this year, followed by Western Visayas which had 112 cases or 12 percent.

Bicol Region ranked third with 10 percent or 92 cases.
