Nov. 10 to 11: Helobung Festival

The town of Lake Sebu in South Cotabato province celebrates its 36th foundation anniversary with the theme, “Lake Sebu: Home of the Living Treasures.”

Activities include a mass wedding, horse show, dawn parade, cultural parade and indigenous peoples’ day.

Nov. 10 to 17: Kahilwayan Festival

The “Cry of Santa Barbara,” the proclamation that sparked the fire of revolution against the Spaniards in the Visayas, is reenacted every year in the Kahilwayan (Freedom) Festival in Iloilo province.

It features a dance presentation of the historic event.

There will also be a miniature heritage houses exhibit, cleanup drive, painting, essay writing and literary musical contest.

Nov. 14 to 25: Binulu Festival

“Binulu” dish, or traditional food cooked in a variety of bamboo called “bulu,” is showcased in a festival in Porac town in Pampanga province.

Activities include a trade fair, cultural performance, farmers’ day, aerobics showdown, street games and fiesta grand parade.
