Revolutionary forces led by Col. Luciano San Miguel defeated more than 400 Spanish soldiers in a battle on Calero Bridge in Noveleta, Cavite province.
The Calero Bridge served as a battleground during the Philippine Revolution. A historical marker to commemorate the bravery of the Filipino forces was installed on Aug. 31, 1994.

The provincial capitol of Pangasinan province was declared a heritage site through an ordinance passed by Sangguniang Panlalawigan members during the building’s 100th anniversary.
The capitol, located in Lingayen town, has an American neoclassical design.
Construction of the capitol started in 1917 and was completed in December 1918.
It survived heavy bombardment during World War II, but was damaged during the Leyte Gulf Landings.
It was rehabilitated in 1949.
The capitol was later declared as one of the country’s eight architectural treasures by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Filipino Heritage Festival Inc.
