Student hurt in a crocodile attack in Palawan

CITY OF CALAPAN – A student was attacked by a crocodile on Friday in Balabac town in Palawan province.

Lt. Col. Socrates Faltado, Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan police information officer, said Haina Lisa Jose Habi, 12, together with her brother Hashim, were on their way home and crossing a creek in Barangay (village) Poblacion VI, when she was suddenly bitten by a crocodile at about 6:30 p.m.

Habi struggled to fight the crocodile and escaped the attack with help from her brother.

She sustained an injury on her right leg and was taken to the rural health unit at Balabac for medical treatment.
