BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — Serama bantam called Elsa from Brunei Darussalam won first prize in the Hen Category of the 2019 Open Contest for Ornate and Beautiful Serama recently.

Elsa is owned by Emran bin Haji Damit, whose hobby is raising ornamental Serama for their beauty and docility.

He also entered two other pet chickens in the contest – Nemo, who won second prize in the Juvenile ‘B’ category; and Bumblebee, who came in fourth in the Serama‘A’ category.

Emran told the Bulletin, “I’m delighted about Elsa being the champion hen… I am also happy that my other chickens didn’t do too badly, coming in second and fourth in their categories.”
