MANILA, Philippines — “Don’t let your family and children suffer from your wrongdoings.”

Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief, said this on Wednesday as he ordered the newly-installed Northern Police District (NPD) chief, Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan, to keep his officers from engaging in extortion.

Ylagan replaced former Brig. Gen. Rolando Anduyan, who was appointed as Northern Mindanao police chief.

Sinas said police officers should not be engaged in illegal drugs, bar activities and gambling dens.

Ylagan was formerly assigned as regional chief directorial staff of the NCRPO.
