MANILA, Philippines — The cities of Manila, Pasig, Taguig and Marikina in Metro Manila (or the National Capital Region) have approved giving assistance, in cash and in kind, to areas in Mindanao that were hit by a series of earthquakes.
According to a statement on Wednesday, the Taguig City Council passed a resolution, signed by Mayor Lino Cayetano, that would provide P15 million worth of calamity assistance to Mindanao.
The calamity fund will be distributed to the following areas:
Davao del Sur
- Digos City
- Magsaysay
- Bansalan
- Santa Cruz
- Hagonoy
- Kabilawan
- Malalag
- Matan-ao
- Padada
- Sulop
Cotabato
- City of Kidapawan
- Makilala
- Magpet
- M’lang
- Tulunan
According to another statement, Manila will donate a total of P5 million to Cotabato province — coming from P2 million worth of talent fees from the Belo Medical Group and P3 million worth of talent fees from Pascual Laboratories.
In a tweet, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said his city would donate relief goods and P14 million in cash for earthquake survivors in Mindanao.

- Bansalan
- Matanao

- Makilala
- Tulunan
- M’lang
- Kidapawan

Last Saturday, Marikina City said it would donate 100 modular tents for hundreds of survivors of the earthquake in Cotabato City.
