SWS: Duterte admin’s satisfaction rating drops in Q3 2019

MANILA, Philippines — The net satisfaction rating of the Duterte administration dropped in the third quarter of 2019, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Wednesday night.

The Duterte administration scored a net satisfaction of +67, a six-point drop from +73 in June 2019 — that is from “excellent” to “very good.”

The survey showed that 77 % of adult Filipinos said they were satisfied with the administration while 10% said they were dissatisfied.

Some 11%, meanwhile, said they are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.

The survey noted that the administration’s net satisfaction rating reported declines of 10 points in Mindanao, 10 points in Balance Luzon, and 1 point in the Visayas.

But it garnered a 12-point increase in Metro Manila.

The net satisfaction rating also fell in both urban and rural areas, as well as in classes D and E, while it reported an increase in classes A, B, and C.

The survey was conducted from Sept. 27 to 30, 2019, using face-to-face interviews of 1,800 adults nationwide, with sampling error margins of ±2.3% for national percentages.
