PNP sends P2-M worth of relief goods to Region 12 quake victims

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday sent P2 million worth of relief goods to families in Soccsksargen who were affected by the series of earthquakes that hit Mindanao.

PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa, PNP Directorate for Logistics Maj. Gen. Edwin Roque and Police Regional Office 12 Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpus visited the PNP Incident Command Post in Makilala, North Cotabato for the distribution of relief goods.

Gamboa also inspected the Makilala municipal hall and the Makilala municipal police station which were damaged by the quakes.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, at least 37,716 families or 188,583 individuals in Regions 11 and 12 were affected by earthquakes that rocked Mindanao.  /muf
