No number coding starting 1 p.m. Thursday—MMDA

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will lift the number coding scheme starting at 1 p.m. Thursday.

In a statement, the MMDA explained the lifting sought “to facilitate the convenience and mobility of the New Year exodus and returning motorists and commuters from the provinces this holiday season.”

But the lifting of the number coding scheme does not cover the cities of Makati and Las Piñas, which have their own vehicle reduction programs.
