Drug suspect slain in gun attack in Nueva Ecija

SANTA ROSA, Nueva Ecija — A motorcycle-riding gunman shot dead a suspected drug courier along a bypass road here, police said Monday.

Investigators said the victim is still unidentified but described him to be likely aged between 40 and 45, and 5’6″-tall.

Initial investigation said the slain drug suspect was driving a tricycle and was heading to Cabanatuan City when he was attacked by the assailant in Barangay Soledad here at about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Police said they recovered two plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” (crystal meth} from the victim.
