4 suspected ‘shabu’ peddlers fall in Quezon drug stings
LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested four suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) peddlers in buy-bust operations in Lucena City and Tiaong town in Quezon province on Friday night, police said Saturday.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Kenneth Baruelo, 27, after he sold shabu to a police agent and an informant in Barangay Mayao Crossing in Lucena City around 6 a.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report.
Authorities seized from the suspect 16 sachets of shabu weighing 2.6 grams worth P14,430 in the street market.
In another drug sting, Jestoni De Los Angeles, 27, was busted in Barangay 5 in this city at 8:50 p.m.
The suspect yielded seven sachets of shabu weighing 1.46 grams worth P8,103 in the drug users market.
In Tiaong, policemen arrested Darwin Medina, 32, and Jerome Placino, 38, in Barangay San Isidro around 8 p.m.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Delfin T. Mallari Jr./lzb
