MANILA, Philippines — After serving more than a month as Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief, Lt. Gen. Noel Clement was promoted to the rank of a general and received his fourth star.
In a statement from AFP, Clement earned his fourth star during the donning of ranks ceremony at the Department of National Defense (DND) on Wednesday.
The ceremony was presided by DND Undersecretary Cardozo Luna, while AFP Vice Chief of Staff and commanders of AFP Major Services and AFP Southern Luzon Command witnessed the ceremony.
Clement, former commander of Central Command, was appointed last September.
He also led the Army’s 10th Infantry Division which covers part of Soccsksargen and Davao. /je
