Woman yields kilo of ‘weeds’ in Quezon

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested a 24-year-old woman in a buy-bust operation in Catanauan town in Quezon province early Tuesday.

A report from the Catanauan police said Jan Clarisse Marfi sold marijuana to a police agent and an informant in Barangay 9 at the town center around 2:30 a.m.

Police confiscated from Marfi three bricks of dried marijuana “weeds” weighing one kilo with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P10,000.

Reformed drug users tipped off the local police about the illegal activity of the suspect, a newly identified drug distributor in the said town in the Bondoc Peninsula.
