MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) ended its first round of polio vaccinations in Lanao del Sur, Marawi City, Davao del Sur, Davao City and Metro Manila but assured the public that inoculations will remain available in local health centers.

“Those who did not receive their OPV (oral polio vaccine), they can go to their health centers anytime,” the DOH said after conducting the first round of immunization for Manila back in August.

Meanwhile, the campaign will be expanded to the whole of Mindanao on Nov. 25 for the second round, and the last round
of vaccinations will be held on Jan. 6, 2020. The National Capital Region will have its second round of vaccination on Nov. 25, 2019. —Tina G. Santos
