CebuPac advises holiday travelers: Be at airports hours before flight
MANILA, Philippines – Airline company Cebu Pacific has advised people traveling with them on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day to arrive at their respective airports hours before their scheduled flights.
According to Cebu Pacific, passengers flying during peak periods should be present two hours before departure for domestic flights, and three hours before departure for international flights.
“Cebu Pacific and Cebgo remind all passengers to allot ample time to get to the airport and go through security inspection, immigration screening, check-in, bag drop and other pre-departure requirements,” the company said in a statement on Thursday.
People going to Guam in the United States and Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, on the other hand, are advised to allot additional time due to “more stringent security screening” required by the said governments.
They also encourage travelers to check-in using the online platforms, found at the Cebu Pacific website (www.cebupacificair.com) or the mobile app downloadable online.
“For international flights, web check-in is available from seven (7) days up to four (4) hours before scheduled flight departure. Those taking domestic flights can do web check-in up to one (1) hour before their scheduled departure,” Cebu Pacific said.
“We advise all passengers to monitor flight information and if possible, immediately proceed to their respective boarding gates. Passengers should be at the gate at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of departure, except for flights departing Dubai (45 minutes),” it added.
Airports are expecting an influx of passengers during the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day holidays, which most Filipinos use to travel domestically or abroad. According to the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa), they are ready for the surge of travelers.

Cebu Pacific also reminded its passengers to “pack their luggage properly and ensure that checked in baggage have proper identification labels with a name, address and contact details”.
“While weighing scales at the check-in counters are calibrated regularly to ensure accuracy, check the weight prior to heading for the airport to avoid the hassle of repacking upon check in,” Cebu Pacific said.
“Cebu Pacific and Cebgo allow only ONE (1) hand-carry bag with maximum weight of seven (7) kilos, with dimension of up to 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. This dimension includes most wheeled cabin bags and backpacks. In addition to one hand-carry baggage, each passenger may also bring ONE small bag not exceeding 35cm x 20cm x 20cm,” it added.
