MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon “Bualoi” slightly weakened as it continues to move outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday afternoon.
The state weather bureau said Bualoi was spotted 2,100 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gustiness of 215 km/h.
Pagasa said Bualoi still has a low chance of entering PAR and has no direct effect on the country yet.
Meanwhile, the shallow low-pressure area (LPA) being monitored by the state weather bureau meanwhile is still not expected to develop into a storm.
Northeasterly surface wind flow, however, will bring weak rain showers to the Ilocos Region, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley Region while isolated rain showers are expected in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon in the afternoon or evening.
