Tropical Storm ‘Perla’ may exit PAR by Monday or Tuesday–Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm “Perla” could leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Monday (Oct. 21) or Tuesday (Oct. 22) next week, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.
“We are expecting that weather disturbance Perla will exit PAR possibly by Tuesday or Monday next week,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in Filipino at a 5 p.m. live weather forecast.
The weather disturbance was last spotted at 790 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of up to 75 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
Aurelio said the country will experience fair weather since the “stationary” tropical storm is far.
“As of now, we can see that storm Perla is far which is why the whole country will continue to experience fair weather,” Aurelio said.
Article continues after this advertisementAurelio, however, said localized thunderstorms may be experienced in the afternoon and evening especially in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
