Cops nab ‘gunman’ in fatal shooting in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY–Police on Friday arrested an Australian national who allegedly gunned down two businessmen inside a moving car here.


The suspect was identified as Michael McLaren, a guest at a beach resort owned by one of the victims.

Investigators said McLaren alighted from the maroon Mitsubishi Mirage after reportedly shooting the victims identified as Mila Bailey and fellow Australian Anthony George Wilson at about 10:30 a.m. in Rizal Avenue.

Bailey owned the Gum Leaves Beach Resort while Wilson owned the Crazy Horse Bar Subic.

The suspect also shot Bailey’s husband Wayne, also an Australian national, who was driving the car and was later taken to a hospital.

Investigators said that the daughter of the Baileys also inside the car during the gun attack was unhurt.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the attack. /jpv
