MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.2 aftershock was recorded in North Cotabato on Thursday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said that the aftershock was recorded at 2:18 p.m., with the epicenter located six kilometers southeast of Tulunan town in North Cotabato.
The quake was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 12 kilometers.
Intensity II was recorded in Koronadal City and Tupi in South Cotabato.
The quake was one of the aftershocks of the magnitude 6.3 quake that hit most parts of Mindanao on Wednesday night.
The strongest aftershock following the initial quake was recorded in Sultan Kudarat at magnitude 5.5 on Wednesday night. /jpv
