‘Carolers’ shoot, wounds man in Mandaue City

THREE men pretending to be carolers on Christmas Eve shot an 18-year-old man in sitio Liong, barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue city.

The unidentified attackers scampered away and escaped after hitting  Ralph Monzolin in his left arm.

Centro police investigation revealed that Monzolin was drinking with his friends when the three men sang a Christmas song outside their house.

Upon hearing the carolers, Mozolin went out to give them money.

But one of the carolers suddenly pulled out a handgun and shot Mozolin in his left arm.

He was rushed to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for treatment while his father reported the incident to the Centro Police station.

Police are still conducting further investigation to identify the attackers and to establish the motive of the attack. /REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
