MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) has resumed normal operations barely two hours after the train management implemented provisionary service after a man jumped and died on the tracks on Tuesday afternoon.
The MRT-3 had to implement limited service from North station until Shaw station only after a man jumped and fell over the train line’s tracks between Buendia and Ayala stations, resulting in his death.

The MRT-3 management said normal operations resumed at 2:47 p.m.

As of 3 p.m., nine MRT-3 trains are operational and running along the train line with a headway of 9.5 minutes, the management said.
The Makati police are still determining the background of the man, who was identified as 21-year-old Mas Sandamon of Marang Sumisip, Basilan. /jpv
