MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook Davao Occidental on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake struck at 9:37 a.m. 126 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Jose Abad Santos.
Phivolcs said the tremor was of tectonic origin and had a 33-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks and damage are expected, Phivolcs added. /gsg
