DILG: Duterte ‘satisfied’ with nationwide road clearing ops

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte was “satisfied” with the report of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on the nationwide road clearing operations, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said Saturday.

In a text message to INQUIRER.net, he added that the President also congratulated the DILG and local government units that participated in the operations.

Año was part of the 42nd Cabinet meeting led by President on Friday night.

“He is very satisfied and congratulated the DILG and the LGUs with resounding applause from him and the Cabinet members,” Año said.

The DILG previously reported that 6,899 roads nationwide were cleared during the 60-day operations.
