3.4-magnitude quake hits Leyte — Phivolcs
MANILA, Philippines — A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck Capoocan town in Leyte on Saturday morning, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake hit five kilometers (km) southwest of Capoocan at 8:55 a.m., Phivolcs stated in its initial earthquake bulletin.

The earthquake, which was tectonic by origin, has a depth of one km.
It was felt as Intensity III in towns of Capoocan and Carigara in Leyte and Intensity II in towns of Kananga, Jaro and Leyte.
Phivolcs said there are no expected damage and aftershocks from the earthquake. /muf
