Suspect shot when he grabbed cop’s gun in Cavite buy-bust

SAN PEDRO CITY –– A suspected drug pusher was shot by the police when he grabbed the gun of an undercover officer during a sting operation in Tanza, Cavite.

William Bocita, remained in a hospital for a bullet wound to his leg, according to a report from the Calabarzon police office on Tuesday.


Bocita’s companion, who was another suspected drug pusher, Herbie Arayata, was arrested.

The police report said the buy-bust happened in Barangay Biwas around 7:30 p.m. Monday.


The police were about to effect the arrest when Bocita grabbed the service firearm of one of the police, forcing another officer to shoot him in the leg.

No one from the operatives was wounded during the scuffle.

Police recovered 10 sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) from the suspects. /lzb
