A man believes that he was controlled by a “voodoo” to swipe over $400 (around P20,700) worth of items in a supermarket last Thursday, Oct. 3.

Joshua Allen Renfroe was caught trying to steal the items from a Walmart store in Texas, United States at around 4:30 p.m. on the same day.

After taking the 29-year-old into custody, he told authorities that a “voodoo” made him commit the suspected crime, as per ABC-affiliate KTRE last Friday, Oct. 4.

He added that the “voodoo” told him not to brush his teeth last Thursday morning.

Renfroe was placed in the Angelina County Jail on a Class B misdemeanor theft charge, as per report. He was released from jail on the same day, after he paid a bond of $1,500 (about P77,700). Ryan Arcadio/JB
