Police probing case of suspected ‘salvage’ victim found in Quezon

LUCENA CITY –– Police are looking into the case of a suspected summary execution victim, whose body was found along the eco-tourism road in Sariaya town in Quezon province Thursday morning.

The still-unidentified male victim was found at the roadside in Sitio (sub-village) Bagong Pook in Barangay Talaan Aplaya around 5:50 a.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief said on Friday.

The victim was wearing a black t-shirt, white shorts, a silver necklace, and red slippers.

His hands were tied at the back by a white electric cord, his eyes covered with brown packaging tape, and his head had two bullet wounds.

Authorities said the victim may have been killed somewhere else and dumped in the area./lzb
