MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies on Wednesday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that isolated rain showers may also be experienced in these areas due to localized thunderstorms.

Residents were advised to brace for possible flash floods or landslides due to occasional heavy rains.

Pagasa also said that the low-pressure area (LPA) being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility was last spotted 800 kilometers east of Legazpi, Albay.

The LPA is less likely to intensify into a tropical depression, the state weather bureau added.
