MANILA, Philippines — Go Malasakit, the public service program of Inquirer 990 TV features success stories about the Malasakit Center, a flagship project of Senator Bong Go, which offers government health assistance service.
A mother-in-law and daughter-in-law do not get along most of the time which results in tension that affects everyone in the family.
But the story is different for Josie Brusola and Jean Pilar Acampado who both showed unconditional love, kindness, and deep concern for their sick mother-in-law.
Lourdes Brusola, 73, was admitted to the Pasay City General Hospital because of cancer.
According to Josie, her mother-in-law survived the operation and was recovering.
Marcelina Acampando, 63, and mother-in-law of Jean was diagnosed with lumps in her stomach. Jean said, her mother-in-law needs to undergo operation but she must regain strength for the process.
Josie and Jean are both worried about the condition of their mother-in-law. And they are also worried about the hospital bills.
It was then that Josie and Jean learned that Malasakit Center, a flagship program of Senator Bong Go opened in Pasay City General Hospital.
Different government agencies thru Malasakit Center assured Josie and Jean that assistance will be provided to them and that they will not pay a single peso on discharge.
The story of Jane and Josie was aired over ‘Go Malasakit’ a public service program of Radyo Inquirer that feature touching stories from the Malasakit Center.
‘Go Malasakit’ is anchored by Assistant Secretary Jonji Gonzales and Chona Yu. It airs every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. while the Malasakit Center is a one-stop-shop that intends to simplify the process of giving medical assistance to Filipinos confined in government hospitals.
