MANILA, Philippines — The suspects behind the murder of a transgender woman in Pangasinan are now under custody, police said Wednesday
In a text message to INQUIRER.net, Col. Redrico Maranan, chief of Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, said suspects Isagani Dollaga and Michael Orpano surrendered to his office on Sept. 23 (Monday) at 4 p.m.
Maranan noted that the suspects were turned over to the Bolinao police station.
“Now they are in the custody Bolinao police station,” Maranan said.
On Sept. 17, Bolinao police found Jessa “Jestoni” Remiendo’s body at a resort in Barangay Patar in Bolinao, Pangasinan.
Initial investigation showed that Remiendo sustained hack wounds in her neck and right eye. /je
