Police identify suspects in killing of transwoman in Pangasinan

MANILA, Philippines — Police said they have identified the suspects behind the killing of a 29-year-old transgender woman in Bolinao, Pangasinan.

In a statement on Wednesday, Col. Redrico Maranan, chief of Pangasinan Police Provincial, Office, said that Bolinao police conducted a follow-up investigation and identified the suspects as Isagani Dollaga and Michael Orpano, who are both residents of Barangay Patar in Bolinao, Pangasinan.

On Tuesday morning, Bolinao police found Jestoni Remiendo’s body at a resort in Barangay Patar.

Initial investigation showed that Remiendo sustained hack wounds in her neck and right eye.
