2 dead, 2 critically wounded in Cotabato collision
KIDAPAWAN CITY –– Two persons, including a village chair in Maguindanao, were killed and two others were hurt in a road crash in the town of Mlang, Cotabato on Monday, a local official said.
Mlang Mayor Russel Abonado said the four victims were on board a red Toyota Vios when it collided head-on with a passenger bus after it overtook another vehicle at 8:10 a.m. along the Mlang-Matalam highway.
Killed were Kisay Mamasalagad, village chair of Barangay Buliok, Pagalungan town and a certain Allan Anta, believed to be a local government employee.
Those injured and who remained critical included a certain Johaiden Manunsol, who was driving the car and another passenger Cinco Macagcaid, secretary of Barangay Buliok, the mayor said.
He said the survivors were scheduled to be transported to Davao City for closer medical attention.
None of the bus passengers were hurt during the incident.
