Man kills 2-week-old son in Laguna
MANILA, Philippines — A man allegedly killed his 2-week-old son after a heated argument with his live-in partner in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, police said on Friday.
According to a report from Sta. Cruz Municipal Police, the 22-year-old suspect Robert Binaya, after an argument with his live-in partner on Tuesday, slapped the baby at the back of the head, immediately killing him.
The baby, who was born on Sept. 2, was lying on his bed when the incident allegedly happened, police said.
Police immediately arrested the suspect also on Tuesday in Barangay Bagumbayan.
Lt. Col. Armie Agbuya, Sta. Cruz police chief, told INQUIRER.net in an interview that the suspect was drunk during the incident.
The suspect’s father also admitted that his son was using “shabu,” according to Agbuya.
