De Lima appeals order to allow new evidence

MANILA, Phlippines — The camp of detained Sen. Leila de Lima has asked a Muntinlupa City court not to allow Department of Justice prosecutors to present additional evidence in the ongoing two-year-old drug case against her.

De Lima asked Judge Gener Gito of Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 256 to reverse his amended pretrial order allowing additional documents for the conspiracy to drug trading case against her and six coaccused. —Dexter Cabalza
