3 men slain in Sultan Kudarat highway

KIDAPAWAN CITY –– Three men believed to be related by blood were killed in an ambush along the national highway in Limbayong town, Sultan Kudarat at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lt. Colonel Lino Capellan, speaking for the Police Regional Office 12, said Nhor Talib, 34, Toton Ibad, 25, and Ibad’s father Mike, 57, all residents of Barangay Namnama of Limbayong, were on board a tricycle along the national road in Barangay Maligaya when two men on a motorbike shot them using handguns.

One of the victims tried to escape but was chased and shot by the suspects. Police found empty shells for cal. 45 pistol in the crime scene.

Capellan said the ambush could be due to “rido” or clan war involving the victims and the suspects./lzb
