Danao worker killed

A 37-YEAR-OLD worker of the Danao City Fish Port was shot dead by a co-worker who resented his fequent reprimands.

Police said Jovenir Batulan was talking to co-workers outside their office in barangay Poblacion on Thursday afternoon when he was shot several times by Jerlim Miro, 37.

Batulan suffered gunshot wounds in the head, right hand and body.

Miro was later arrested in his house in sitio Tabok.

Murder charges were filed against him yesterday.

P200T LOST IN DANAO ROBBERY

A FEMALE ticketing officer complained that she was robbed at gunpoint in Danao City, northern Cebu.

Jenny Cole of Jomalia Shipping Lines, said P274,123 in cash was taken from her.

Cole told police that she was riding a trisikad on her way to deposit the money in a bank when she was robbed about 500 meters from her office. The trisikad reached F. Ralota Street where a motorcycle blocked its path.

Cole said the backrider got off, pointed a gun at her and took her shoulder bag. The robbers covered their faces with cloth./CORRESPONDENT RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL

MAN STABS BRO WITH ICEPICK

A 33-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed with an icepick by his younger brother after they argued while drinking in barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City, last Thursday afternoon.

The victim, Milrey, 32, survived.

Police said Cubanes and his brother Milrey, 32, were already drunk when they got into an argument.

A fistfight followed.

After the brothers were pacified, Rey went home but later returned and suddenly attacked Milrey with an icepick.
