LUCENA CITY –– A man and his son were killed, while another son was injured when their motorcycle bumped a car in Candelaria town in Quezon province on Sunday night.

Candelaria police reported that motorcycle driver Ramilo Dequito, 45; and his sons Ryan James, 13, and Ramsey, 5, were cruising along the Candelaria-San Juan, Batangas road when their vehicle bumped the rear portion of a Toyota Vios traveling ahead of them in Barangay Sta. Catalina Norte at 9:10 p.m.

With the strong impact, the motorcycle riders were thrown off from their vehicle. They suffered grave head and body injuries.

The riders were taken to Peter Paul Medical Center of Candelaria in the town center, but Ramilo and Ryan James died along the way. Ramsey survived and was confined at the said hospital.

Police said the car driver, who was yet to be identified, escaped.
