P1-M bounty up for arrest of Bulacan village chief’s killer

BALIWAG, Bulacan — Mayor Ferdie Estrella offered a P1-million bounty for any information that will lead authorities to arrest the killer of a village chief here.

Ronaldo Rivera, incumbent captain of Barangay San Jose, was on board an Isuzu truck and was traveling along a road in Barangay Tarcan when he was attacked by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants at about 12 noon on Monday.

Investigators said the gunmen trailed the victim and fired successive shots at him.

Estrella has called for swift justice on Rivera’s killing.

Rivera is known for actively supporting the anti-illegal drug campaign of President Rodrigo Duterte, Estrella said.
