Drug personality found dead in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY –– An alleged drug personality was found dead from fatal bullet wounds in an apparent summary execution in this city on Monday.

The body of Anthony James Villanos, 37, was found lying on the roadside of Barangay Ibabang Talim around 4:30 p.m., said a report from Lt. Col. Reydante Ariza, Lucena police chief.

Villanos, from Tayabas City, was identified by his relatives.

Investigators recovered two spent shells from a caliber 9-mm pistol at the crime scene.

Police said Villanos was involved in the local illegal drug trade as a courier from Tayabas City to Lucena.
