Earthquake rattles Oriental Mindoro
MANILA, Philippines – A 4.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Oriental Mindoro on Tuesday early morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its earthquake bulletin, the Phivolcs said the quake struck 14 kilometers (km) northwest of Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro at 1:17 a.m.
An Instrumental Intensity I was felt in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Bacoor City, Cavite and Quezon City.

The quake had a depth of 174 km and was tectonic in origin.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks and significant damage are expected. / gsg
