MANILA, Philippines — A 17-year-old was injured after their home caught fire early Friday in Caloocan, the city fire bureau said.

A fire officer who requested anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak to the media said that the fire in Urduja Village in Caloocan, which started around 6:10 a.m., reached the second alarm before firefighters were able to put it out around 7:15 a.m.

The officer said that a certain Clarita Gomez was said to own the house apparently being rented by the family of the victim.

The cause of the fire and cost of damages have yet to be determined.
